There is an assorted variation in taxes in our communities today. Different taxes may include: income, payroll, sales, and wealth taxes. Income taxes are shared with the government. It is divided to the federal, state, and local government branches. Payroll taxes include social security taxes and medicare taxes. Social security is an insurance program which accumulates money for retirement. Medicare is . Sales tax is a tax that is added onto a total sales purchase. Sales tax percentages vary throughout states and countries. Wealth taxes are used for estate, gift, and property taxes, when you are wealthy.
I strongly believe that taxes are justifiable. Many citizens consider taxation as being excessive, but I believe it is necessary. Who else would be able to pay for schools and supplies other than the people who need them? Even though we, citizens, pay more than half of paychecks worth to the government, we can still barely afford to provide a proficient amount of supplies to our local schools. If we stopped donating our money to taxes, how would we have anything in our communities? Such as, playgrounds, libraries, schools, etc. If you think about it, you would agree that even though we supply at least 50% of our money toward taxes, most families are well off. We can all afford a decent home with nice clothes and some petty cash. So if we were all rich and didn’t have any schools and community buildings, wouldn’t we still have to pitch in and provide money for these necessities? Therefore, I believe taxes are completely justified.
